King assented to abolish the Cabinet
PUCHONG: Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has assented to abolish the Cabinet after receiving the advise from the Prime Minister today.
In a statement, chief secretary to the government Mohd Zuki Ali said that, all appointed Deputy Prime Minister, ministers and political secretaries are autocratically revoked.

He said that Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah agreed to revoke the appointment of ministers on the advice of the Prime Minister as provided in Article 43 ( 5) The Federal Constitution.
Earlier today, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had accepted the resignation of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad as Prime Minister of Malaysia.
However, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been appointed as the interim Prime Minister just hours after he resigned.
