IRB sues Najib’s son for RM37.6 million
KUALA LUMPUR: After slapping a suit on former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to seek RM1.69 billion in unpaid taxes, the Inland Revenue Board is suing Najib’s son, Nazifuddin for RM37.6 million in unpaid taxes, reported Malaysiakini.
The suit was filed on 24 July against the 36 – year – old for the failure in settling tax assessments for seven years since 2011 to 2017.

Nazifuddin was also slapped with a 10% fine for failing to make payments within 30 days of receiving the assessment notice on 18 March.
He was further slapped with a 5% fine for failure to settle the payments within 60 days.
The government is also seeking five percent annual interest on the total from the date of judgement to the date of settlement, as well as costs and any other relief deemed fit by the court.
