IOI Group founder dies

KUALA LUMPUR: IOI Group founder, Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng, 79, died at his home last night at 8.30pm. He is also the executive chairman of IOI Industry.
Lee who was scheduled to celebrate his 80th birthday on Monday was supposed to announce his retirement from business as well.
The Forbes magazine listed him as the fifth richest man in Malaysia with assets worth US$5.4 billion.
His sons, Lee Yao Zu is the chief executive officer of IOI Group and Lee Yao Sheng is both executive director and chief executive officer of IOI Industry.
His youngest son, Lee Yeow Seng is chief executive officer for IOI Properties Group and is married to Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Minister Yeo Bee Yin.
