Hisham: PSS U-turn shows people’s power will always triumph
PUCHONG: Sembrong MP Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said the Sabah state government’s decision to cancel the Sabah Temporary Pass (PSS) proves that the people’s voice will always triumph.
In a Facebook post, the former Umno vice president said Pakatan Harapan (PH) – Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) should learn their lesson from the recent loss suffered in the Kimanis by-election.
“Before Kimanis by-election, PH-Warisan defended the PSS and even accused Barisan Nasional (BN) for introducing it. Of course, it was a slander and the people opposed the move.
“This should be a good learning curve for PH-Warisan on what is people’s power all about,” he said.
Yesterday, Sabah chief minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal announced that the implementation of PSS has been cancelled due to Sabahans discontent.
The PSS, if implemented, will be given to foreigners who hold the IMM13, Kad Burung-Burung and Sijil Banci Sabah as replacements, who had lived in Sabah for a long time.
