Hisham: COVID-19 cases reach 4,530, death 73

PUCHONG: Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 184 new confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported today, bringing the toll to 4,530.
Hisham said 72 of the coronavirus patients are now receiving treatment at intensive care unit (ICU).
“38 of them needed respiratory assistance,” he said in a press conference at Putrajaya today.
He added three COVID-19 patients passed away today, bringing the toll to 73.
“All three males are Malaysian with chronic illness history.

“The death toll is 1.61% from the cumulative confirmed cases,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hisham said there are still 2,462 of the coronavirus cases which are still active and highly infectious.
“However, the active cases are now in quarantine and receiving treatment,” he said.
He added, 165 COVID-19 patients are fully cured and discharged today, bringing the toll to 1,995.
