Health Ministry: 11 districts in the red zone over COVID-19

PUCHONG: Health Ministry today said 11 districts in the country have been categorized as in the red zone after more than 41 confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported in the areas.

In a Facebook post, the ministry said Lembah Pantai and Petaling each reported 167 cases of the coronavirus and followed by Hulu Langat with 132 cases.

“Seremban reported 78 cases, Johor Bahru (68), Kluang (54), Gombak (53), Titiwangsa (49), Kota Bharu (48) and Kinta (41),” said the ministry today.

Yesterday, the government had enforced Enhanced Movement Control Order at Kampung Dato’ Ibrahim and Bandar Baharu Dato’ Ibrahim Majid in Simpang Renggam, Klang, Johor from March 27 to April 9 after both areas reported high cases of COVID-19 cases.

The ministry advises people who are staying in the red zone areas to take precautionary steps.

“Remember, just stay at home to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection,” it said.
