GEORGE TOWN, July 25 — DAP today announced that it will drop five caretaker excos for the Penang state election, confirming a previously leaked list that showed deputy chief minister II P. Ramasamy being omitted.
DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng was also announced as one of the party’s 19 candidates for the state election here on August 12.
Ramasamy has served as Penang deputy chief minister II since 2008 while Phee Boon Poh has served as the welfare and caring society exco also since the same year that saw the DAP wrest Penang from the Barisan Nasional.
