Kota Kinabalu, Aug 15 — The Global AgriTech Summit 2024 (GATES24), organised by My Events International, is set to take place from October 8-9, 2024, at the prestigious Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The summit is expected to bring together key players from the agriculture sector, including thought leaders, innovators, and industry experts, to explore the latest advancements and innovations in AgriTech that are shaping the future of agriculture.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Dailan Muhammad, Vice Organising Chairman of GATES24, expressed his excitement about the upcoming event: “GATES’24 is a pivotal platform that not only brings together the brightest minds in AgriTech but also fosters collaboration and innovation across the agriculture sector. We are committed to creating an environment where participants can share knowledge, explore new opportunities, and drive meaningful change in the industry.”
YB Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Fishery and Food Industry Sabah said he is proud to be the Patron of this 3 rd Global AgriTech Summit. During his address he mentioned that the challenges faced in agriculture are not unique to Sabah or Malaysia; they are global issues that require concerted effort and a shared vision.
He also mentioned that this event is timely as it aligns with Ministry’s commitment to promoting a vibrant and modern agricultural sector that is both productive and sustainable. This kind of international engagement is crucial in ensuring that Malaysia is at the forefront of global agricultural innovation with local farmers and stakeholders have access to the latest innovations to improve their productivity thus contribute to countries economy.
The event is proudly endorsed and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishery and Food Industry, Sabah, and is being held in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), PERDASAMA Sabah, Sabah Tourism Board, and Eco-Yap Farm as the Supporting Partner, with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) serving as the Official Digital Partner and Invest Sabah as the Exclusive Investment Partner.
