DPM ‘advisor’ Raymond Cheah: Anwar and Wan Azizah know who I am!
PUCHONG: Irate by threats of police report, a man claiming to be the Deputy Prime Minister’s ‘advisor’ claimed that both Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim ‘know who he is.’
“Both Wan Azizah and Anwar know who I am. I’m known as a senior reformist in PKR.
“And I’m not getting anything from all this. People are just jealous of me. I can’t make money from this business card,” said Raymond Cheah.
Earlier today, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement saying that it has never appointed an individual named Raymond Cheah as ‘advisor’ to Wan Azizah.
“Therefore, any dealings involving this individual have nothing to do with the office of the Deputy Prime Minister or Dr Wan Azizah,” said the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office in a statement posted on Dr Wan Azizah’s Facebook page today.
The statement also said that a police report would be lodged because the individual had tarnished the image of the Deputy Prime Minister’s office.
Speaking to The Leaders Online, an upset Cheah claimed that he had done a lot of ground work for PKR and Pakatan Harapan, which led to their massive win in the last general election.
Asked whether he had the DPM’s office permission before coming up with the business card, Cheah said, “No permission and I’m not afraid of police arrest.”
He also dared the government to sue him on the matter saying it would only backfire at the government.
“Sue me, sue me lah. Next election, Pakatan will go bye-bye. The Chinese can eat pau after that!” said Cheah.
The ‘advisor’ then hurled brickbats at the government saying that the Chinese community is losing confidence in them, especially the DAP.
He also offered a solution for Pakatan’s predicament; reform itself to become an incorruptible coalition and stand for human rights.
“So, I’m using the business card to bring back Chinese support to the government and restore public confidence to our economy,” said Cheah.
