KUALA LUMPUR: Sixty delegates from 25 countries are participating in the inaugural three-day LAWorld Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference starting today.

The event, hosted by Kuala Lumpur-based boutique law firm Mohamed Ridza & Co, will discuss current issues and country edge topics on innovation, remote lawyering, Brexit and new revenue sources.

Managing partner Mohamed Ridza Abdullah said this is also an opportunity to showcase Malaysia as an investment and tourist destination.

“The delegates said Malaysia is very nice, with warm people and that is our (country’s) trademark,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the conference here today.

The delegates, comprising managing partners of law firms, will be visiting various sights and attractions, including the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya.

United Kingdom-based LAWorld was established in 1997 and is an independent network of boutique legal firms around the world.
