COVID-19: No new red zone

KUALA LUMPUR: Twenty districts are still categorised as red zone COVID-19 areas as at noon yesterday, with Lembah Pantai recording the highest number of positive cases, according to the Health Ministry’s (MOH)  Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC).

Based on the CPRC’s infographic, which is shared through MOH’s official  social media today, a total of 459 COVID-19 positive cases have been recorded in the Lembah Pantai district, followed by Hulu Langat and Petaling with 378 and 335 cases, respectively.

The red zone category is for areas with more than 41 COVID-19 positive cases, orange zone  (20-40 cases), yellow zone (1-19 cases) green zone (no case).

Selangor still recorded the highest number of COVID-19 positive cases, totalling 1,183, while Labuan has the lowest with 15 cases.

Meanwhile, Malaysia remained at 34th place in the list of countries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic yesterday (April 11), with 4,530 positive cases and 73 deaths.

Meanwhile, five districts have recorded number of COVID-19 positive cases nearing the red zone category. They are Muar (40 cases), Seberang Perai Tengah and Lahad Datu (38 cases each), as well as Kuala Muda and Kota Kinabalu (35 cases each). 

As of yesterday, a total of 1,696,323 COVID-19 were recorded worldwide, with 102,672 deaths.
