Covid-19 climbs up 50% to 105 from 69 yesterday
PUCHONG: Malaysia reported 105 new positive Covid 19 cases today, bringing the total number to 6,176 cases.
In a media briefing today, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said no Covid-19 deaths were reported to the health ministry’s Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) today.
This brings the total number of deaths in our country to remain with 103 fatalities.
“There are 31 cases that are being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU) and with 12 that need breathing assistance through ventilators,” he said.
However, he advised the public not to take advantage of the relaxation of the CMCO (Conditional Movement Control Order) and maintain COVID-19 prevention practices and measures.
Meanwhile, 116 cases were discharged from hospitals today, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,326 cases — a 70% recovery rate.
