COVID-19: 236 patients discharged, highest total in a day – Hisham

PUCHONG: Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 236 COVID-19 patients fully cured and discharged from hospitals today, bringing the new total to 1,241.
Hisham said it is the highest number of the coronavirus patients that have been discharged in a day since the outbreak started in the country.
“The cumulative number of patients discharged is 32.72% of the total confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in the country,” he said in a press conference at Putrajaya today,
He added 131 confirmed COVID-19 cases were reported today, bringing the new total to 3,793.
“102 of the coronavirus patients are receiving treatment at intensive care unit (ICU) with 54 of them need respiratory assistance,” he said.
Meanwhile, Hisham said one COVID-19 patient death were reported to the ministry today, raising the number of death to 62.
“The Malaysian male who had chronic illness history passed away yesterday,” he said.
