COVID-19: 217 new cases, bringing the total to 3,333
PUCHONG: The number of new positive cases today is 217, bringing the total number of positive cases in Malaysia to 3,333.
According to the Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the total number of patients discharged today was 60.
“This makes the total number of patients cured and discharged are 827.”
“The number confirmed cases are high as Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) did active health screening,” he said.
The total of patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) were 108 and 54 of them needed breathing aid.
“It is sad to inform that the death toll today was 3 which brings the total death toll in our country so far 53 people,” Hisham said.
