COVID-19: 150 new cases, four death – Hisham
PUCHONG: Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 150 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported today, bringing the total cases to 3,483.
Hisham said 80 of the new confirmed coronavirus cases are related to the tabligh mass gathering at Masjid Jamek, Sri Petaling cluster.
“99 of the coronavirus patients are receiving treatment at intensive care unit (ICU) with 50 of them needed respiratory help,” he said in a press conference at Putrajaya today.
He added four COVID-19 patients death were reported to the ministry today, bringing the new total to 57.
“All four death cases are Malaysian with chronic illness history,” he said.

Meanwhile, Hisham said until now, 1,545 of the 3,483 confirmed COVID-19 cases are related to the tabligh mass gathering cluster.
“The tabligh mass gathering cluster with 44.36%. of the cumulative confirmed cases is the biggest cluster so far as it also involved close contact of family members, people who attended mosque and madrasah,” he said.
