Coronavirus: Agong calls for solat hajat
PUCHONG: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah called for every mosque in the country to perform solat hajat so that Malaysians will not be affected by the coronavirus.
In a statement from Istana Negara, Datuk Pengelola Bijaya Diraja Datuk Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said the Agong was very concerned over the safety and health of Malaysians, with the spread of novel coronavirus (2019-n-Cov) in China and Malaysia.
“His Highness calls for Malaysians to pray for the country and the world to be protected from the disease and for everything to become normal again,” the statement said.
Ahmad said Sultan Abdullah also urged Malaysians not to spread false news related to the disease and create panic.
“Get the right information and the latest development on the situation from official channels, especially the Health Ministry and other relevant agencies.
“His Majesty also urged everyone to take precaution and follow health guidelines set by the Health Ministry,” he said.
