Carbon monoxide poisoning: Nor Aqilah still in critical condition

GEORGE TOWN: The survivor in a carbon monoxide poisoning incident which killed three students who were having a nap in a car remains in critical condition, said Penang Police Chief Datuk Sahabudin Abd Manan.

He said the victim, Nor Aqilah Mohd Safwan, 21, is at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin in Kuala Lumpur.

“Her condition is still the same as yesterday and I was informed by the medical team there that she is still critical,” he added.

The four of them were found unconscious in a MPV at the parking lot of a petrol station in Sama Gagah, next to the North-South Expressway.

“There are many close-circuit television cameras at the petrol station, but there are also many cars parked there. So, the public and maybe the staff didn’t notice that the victims had parked there for a long time. There was nothing unusual during the incident,” he told reporters today. –Bernama
