The video was shared on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan today and it is widely being circulated on social media right now.
The viral video was shared by the officer with the caption, “The picture of poaching! A baby #rhino tries to wake #mother, who is killed by poachers for the #horn. Devastating & eye-opening.”
In the heartbreaking video, one can see a dead mother rhino lying lifeless, as her baby desperately tries to wake her up.
According to the video, the mother rhino was killed by poachers because of her horn and the baby rhino was left to fend for itself.
One can also hear the voice of a man in the background, recording the video, revealing that the baby is desperately trying to suckle some milk and wake the mother with no response.
He also says, “I can’t understand this. This is horrific to see,” and we couldn’t agree more.
