Azis: M’sian businesses thrive despite global uncertainty

KUALA LUMPUR: As businesses enter a tough phase as we head towards 2020, it is important that we offer recognition to those who have made it under the tide of global economic uncertainty.
Enter the Malaysia Top Achievers 2019 event. The winners were unveiled last night at a gala event held at the EQ Hotel Kuala Lumpur, as professionals from across the country came together to celebrate top achievers from various industries.
The awards extravaganza was a star-studded event; complete with gowns and tuxedos, victory speeches, high spirits, and of course, the coveted Malaysia Top Achievers trophies, which recognised winners from 37 categories.
The event was jointly organised by The Leaders Online and My Events International.

Entrepreneurs and business leaders were conferred awards in various fields and sectors for their achievements, including contributing towards the prosperity of Malaysia’s economy this year.
The awards were conferred by guest-of-honour, Selangor Royal Council Member Tengku Sulaiman Shah Al-Haj.
Also present at the event were Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman, former minister Tan Sri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil and My Events International President Shahul Hameed Dawood.

In his speech, Tengku Sulaiman said he hoped that the top achievers will continue to enhance and develop the country’s economy.
“I would like to congratulate all the winners on their achievement.
“I would also like to encourage all the entrepreneurs to work together in ensuring the economy to grow in a sustainable and inclusive manner, and continue to progress,” he said.
Meanwhile, Aziz said the economic report card for 2019 saw a number of businesses facing difficulties across the world.
“We can only come out of this difficult period if all entrepreneurs and business leaders work together.
“We are lucky that Malaysia was able to come out of this difficult phase,” he said.
The Sepanggar MP added that young and dynamic economic leaders must enter the global arena to achieve and develop our economy.
