Azam Baki is MACC’s new chief commissioner
PUCHONG: MACC’s director of operations, Datuk Seri Azam Baki is now appointed anti-graft body’s new chief commissioner, effective today.
In a statement today, Prime Minister Office (PMO) said Azam’s appointment was made following Latheefa Koya’s resignation last week.
“Yang di-Pertuan Agong had consented to Azam’s appointment,” it said.
Latheefa tendered her resignation as MACC chief last week after the Pakatan Harapan government collapsed last month.
Her resignation came after Tan Sri Tommy Thomas’ resignation as Attorney General.
