Anwar undergoing medical checks, PMO confirms two‑day specialist observation period
PETALING JAYA, Aug 10 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is undergoing medical examinations and procedures prescribed by a team of specialist doctors, his office confirmed today.
Senior press secretary Tunku Nashrul Abaidah said Anwar is expected to remain under observation for two days.
“We pray that all examinations and procedures will proceed smoothly, and that the Prime Minister will be granted lasting good health to resume his duties as soon as possible, Insya Allah,” he said in a statement.
The Prime Minister’s office did not disclose further details of the procedures.
