Anwar: Azmin can have special session to discuss matter with me

PETALING JAYA: The pro-Azmin faction is welcomed to have special session to wrestle out outstanding issues with party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“I am a democrat, people can come and discuss (matters with me),” said Anwar.

“If they (the other faction) need two or three hours for a special session to discuss matters amicably, I am okay (with meeting them). I meet leaders in my office all the time,” he added.

Anwar revealed this to reporters in response to questions regarding his party during a press conference today.

“… I think the party is moving in the right direction although not 100 percent. I don’t see any real problem (within PKR),” he added.

His relations with deputy president, Azmin Ali has been getting from bad to worse.  The ties turn cold amid speculation that Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad preferred Azmin as his preferred successor and the release of another sex video that implicated Azmin.

Anwar also has denied that he is involved in the latest sex video.

“I am not involved, I don’t want to be involved,” he told reporters in Petaling Jaya this afternoon.

He also declined to comment on the possible action against Azmin over the videos.

“Firstly, I have not seen the video. Secondly, I leave it to the authorities,” he said.

Six gay sex clips with a total length of 18 minutes featuring two men were released to 200 journalists and politicians via a WhatsApp group.

On another issue, Anwar who chose not to comment regarding his political secretary Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak  last night opted to do so today.

“Yes, he should (meet the police), notwithstanding the withdrawal of the police report,” he told reporters in Petaling Jaya when quizzed on the matter.
