Angry crowd shouted Tian Chua “Pengkhianat!” (Traitor) and “Anjing!” (Dog)
PETALING JAYA: PKR vice-president Tian Chua received backlash from the public when he was hit with bottles, received blows and shouts of “Pengkhianat!” (Traitor) and “Anjing!” (Dog) by an angry crowd of supporters while leaving PKR’s Central Leadership Council (MPP) meeting here today.
Also involved in the commotion were Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, former deputy PKR Youth chief Dr Afif Bahardin and Port Klang assemblyman Azmizam Zaman Huri. They were sent off with brickbats as they leave PKR’s headquarters here.
The coup is aligned to the party’s sacked deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, who had held a series of meetings with former opposition parties to form a new coalition last Sunday, thus blocking PKR president Anwar Ibrahim from succeeding Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Is Tian Chua facing the wrath of a nation betrayed? He was with Reformasi through thick and thin… and to end up like this? Even in politics, principles matter! pic.twitter.com/A05FevYuhJ
