Ancom Nylex secures 4‑Star FTSE ESG Rating, added to FTSE4Good Indices
PETALING JAYA, Aug 3 — Ancom Nylex Berhad (ANB) has earned a 4‑star environmental, social and governance (ESG) rating in a detailed sustainability assessment completed on June 22, marking a significant step forward in the group’s efforts to strengthen governance, safety and supply‑chain oversight.
The strong rating has led FTSE Russell to include ANB in both the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index and the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah Index as part of its June 2026 semi‑annual review — a dual admission that signals the group’s compliance with stringent global sustainability standards. The listing also positions ANB for greater visibility among institutional investors, including Shariah‑compliant funds that prioritise ESG‑aligned portfolios.
Managing director and group CEO Datuk Lee Cheun Wei said the recognition underscores the company’s commitment to transparency and ethical conduct.
He added that ANB will use the evaluation data to refine its environmental risk strategies and strengthen long‑term value creation as Malaysia transitions toward a lower‑carbon economy.
