Agong, Queen extend condolences, sympathy to Nora Anne’s family
KUALA LUMPUR: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah expressed their condolences to Nora Anne Quoirin’s family today.
In a statement issued by Istana Negara, Their Majesties also expressed their sympathies to Nora Anne’s parents, siblings and extended family members.
“I would like to thank the support of the search and rescue teams from Britain, France, Ireland and Malaysia as well as the volunteers for their assistance, solidarity and prayers for the family during this difficult time.
“I also urge the public not to speculate on the case until police investigations are completed,” said Sultan Abdullah.
On Aug 4, Nora Anne went missing from The Dusun Resort, where she and her family was staying for a holiday.
After a 10-day search, the search and rescue team found Nora Anne’s nude body near a small stream in a valley, just about 2.5 kilometres away from the resort.
A team of pathologists from Kuala Lumpur are in the midst of conducting autopsy on Nora Anne’s body, kept in Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban, to determine the cause of death.
