Actor Tom Hanks, wife Rita Wilson down with coronavirus

Hollywood legend Tom Hanks and wife, Rita Wilson have been tested positive for COVID-19.

In a post on his social media, Hanks, 63, said both he and his wife are currently in Australia, where they started feeling sick.

“We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches. Rita had some chills that came and went. Slight fevers, too.

“To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the coronavirus, and were found to be positive,” he said.

Hanks said that for now, the Hollywood couple are under quarantine and receiving medical treatment for their disease.

“The medical officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed and isolated for as long as the public health and safety requires.

“Not much more to it than one-day-at-a-time approach, no? We’ll keep the world posted and updated.

“Take care of yourselves,” he said.

Hanks is currently in Down Under to shoot for his next project, which is a biopic of the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.
