ABIM and CSos unite to champion the Palestinian cause

KUALA LUMPUR: In solidarity with the Palestinian people, Muslim Youth Movement Malaysia (ABIM) together with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) came together to support Palestinians in liberating their homeland.

Palestine, which is occupied by the Israeli regime, has come under severe restrictions and militarisation from the Zionist regime, affecting the Palestinians.

ABIM president Muhammad Faisal Abdul Aziz said that his organisation and CSos call upon international communities to deliver justice and freedom to Palestine through several memorandums.

“In conjunction with the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people this Nov 29, I urge the international communities to dispense justice to the Palestinians as stated in the resolutions by United Nations.

“We also call for continuous pressure against Israel and the American economy. Let’s boycott their products and raise awareness on the matter through public advocacy,” he said.

Faisal added that international communities should continue to support activists dedicated to delivering aid to the Palestinians.

“Apart from that, sovereign states should put conscientious efforts to bring the Zionist regime to justice at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

“Hence, this Friday, ABIM and CSOs will be presenting this memorandum at United Nations’ office in Malaysia,” he said.

ABIM will be launching the Facebook Profile Frame and social media advocacy campaign as the Solidarity Futsal Tournament this Friday, at Sport 7 Futsal Wangsa Maju.

In recent weeks, the Palestinians have come under heavy bombardment from the Israeli military after attacks from a group called Islamic Jihad.

However, a ceasefire has been declared for the time being.
