KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 — Medical checks of 392 victims of sexual abuse rescued from welfare homes linked to Global Ikhwan Group (GISBH) in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan showed signs of sodomy in at least 13 of the children, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain said today.
In an update on the case that has caught global attention, the inspector-general of police (IGP) also clarified that only 151 of the 171 arrested during the raids have been remanded for further investigation.
He said the remaining 20 were minors and not under suspicion of the litany of sexual abuses that allegedly took place in the welfare homes.
