11th Global Leadership Awards: 36 awards for global industry players
KUALA LUMPUR: The 11th Global Leadership Awards (GLA), held yesterday, saw a total of 36 leadership awards won by industry players from Malaysia and international arena.
Some of the winners won more than one award. Among the local winners include Lim Kok Wing University of Creative Technology.
The event was co-organised by The Leaders Online and My Events International. It was endorsed by the American Leadership Development Association along with platinum sponsors, Hyperwave Systems Engineering.
GLA Organising chairman Azman Fahmi Osman in his speech noted the number of award recipients who won the awards since GLA began a decade ago.
“We have awarded more than 300 industry players since the year 2009 and we have no plans to slow this down in the near future. The corporate leaders we have awarded all have one thing in common, that is to inspire.
GLA’s royal patron Tengku Sulaiman Sultan Abdul Aziz meanwhile in his royal address said that the awards are given out with a vision to encourage global business community in not only steering their businesses but also becoming leaders.
The guest of honor of the event was Port Dickson MP and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
It was held at the Malaysian International and Exhibition Centre.
