PKR Wanita information chief ‘Ratu Naga’ sacked
PETALING JAYA: PKR Wanita information chief Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah sacked from the party, losing her leadership in the women’s wing’s central as well.
Ema, prominently known as “Ratu Naga”, said her sacking was not transparent and no clear reason was given.
She also claims that she was not given the chance to defend herself.
According to her the sacking was not carried out properly, adding she was not given any warning notice.
“It’s unfortunate that the PKR secretary-general’s office is still playing political games and has issued this letter sacking me in this current Covid 19 pandemic, without stating any reason.
“I deserve an explanation and a warning letter so that I can defend myself before I am sacked,” she said in a statement today.
The letter, dated April 1, was signed by PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and stated that Ema may appeal her sacking to the party’s central leadership council within 14 days.
Ema also known to be an ally of former party deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.
