Coronavirus: Two new cases in Malaysia, one is a local
PUCHONG: Two new cases of novel coronavirus has been detected in the country, one involving a Malaysian.
The Malaysian citizen was said to have attended a meeting in Singapore, where participants from China were present
It was said that the man was on a business trip in Singapore between Jan 16 and 23. On Jan 29, the man sought medical treatment from a private healthcare facility in Selangor for cough and fever.
He was sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital yesterday after being tested positive for coronavirus. The man is reported to be in stable condition.
The Health Ministry (MOH) had since traced his family and other close contacts for follow up action. MOH had also notified Singapore on the matter.
The other case involves a tourist from China. To date, Malaysia has recorded 10 positive cases.
