Breaking: Strong quake hits Carribean
KUALA LUMPUR: A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.0 on the Richter scale occurred in the Caribbean at 3.10 am today (Malaysian time).
The Malaysian Meteorological Department, in a statement, said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres some 1,989 kilometre southeast of Houston, in the United States.
However, it did not pose a tsunami threat to Malaysia.
