Global Agritech Summit 2019, a good platform for the farmers and local
KUALA LUMPUR: Global Agritech Summit (GATES) 2019, held at Bank Rakyat Convention Centre, was a good platform for locals especially farmers to gained more knowledge on the agriculture sector.
Ferlab Sdn Bhd managing director Vincent Teo who participated in the exhibition said that the event gave them an opportunity to promote their products to visitors.
He also said that the platform was an excellent way to expose farmers and locals about the latest agricultural technology, apart from disseminating knowledge on the sector.
“Basically, we came here to introduce our franchise, our programmes and look for partners to promote our products and services. By joining this event, we also learnt about the latest technology and trend in the agriculture industry.
“In line with the objective of this programme, which is to present the latest agricultural technology to everyone here, we also got inspired to produce good products for the people,” he said.
Meanwhile, visitor Najihah Taam, 25, who graduated form International Islamic University (IIUM) in Agricultural Science, said that by joining this event, she learnt about the latest development and the future of Malaysia’s agriculture industry.
“This is a good event where we can see many agencies related to agriculture participating. I also gained a lot of knowledge about this industry and what are the latest products around.
“Apart from that, the topics in the conference are also exciting and suitable for those involved in the industry,” she said.
Another visitor, Nadira Rusmadi, 27, said that the event gave her a good opportunity for business matching, apart from getting more knowledge about the industry.
She hoped that such programmes will continue in the future so that the people can know what are the latest development in Malaysia’s agriculture industry.
“Maybe we can hold such events once in every two or three months. I suggest we open up more booths in the future,” she said.
