O&G sevice provider Alam Maritim Resources says CEO Azmi Ahmad under MACC remand
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 — Alam Maritim Resources Bhd today announced that its group managing director and group chief executive officer Datuk Azmi Ahmad is under remand to facilitate an ongoing investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
The service provider to the oil and gas industry said the remand is for the purpose of facilitating the ongoing investigation and does not constitute any finding of wrongdoing.
“The board has taken the necessary measures to ensure continuity of the group’s operations and will make further announcements should there be any material development,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
