Bersama to contest Johor polls, launches nationwide ‘Jelajah Kancil’ campaign tour

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 — Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) has confirmed it will contest the Johor state election in 2026, marking its first electoral outing since being revived on May 17.

In a statement, the group said the decision was finalised after discussions involving its leadership and selected members nationwide, with further talks scheduled with Johor representatives to identify constituencies it will contest.

Bersama said the Johor polls would serve as a platform to introduce the movement to voters despite being less than a month old since its relaunch, while also allowing it to build and test its election machinery ahead of future contests.

Alongside its electoral plans, Bersama will launch its nationwide campaign tour, Jelajah Kancil, beginning June 6 at the Danga Bay Convention Centre at 8pm.

The tour will focus on the group’s 12-Agenda framework, with each state highlighting one agenda item, and will travel across multiple states from June to July.

Stops include Melaka (June 7), Negeri Sembilan (June 13), Perak (June 14), Pahang and south Terengganu (June 21), north and central Selangor (June 28), south Selangor (July 1), Kelantan and north Terengganu (June 20), Pulau Pinang (July 4), Kedah and Perlis (July 5), Kuala Lumpur (Setiawangsa, July 11), Selangor Barat (Shah Alam, July 12) and Selangor Timur (Pandan, July 18).

Bersama said event dates and venues will be updated from time to time, with registration details available via https://bersama.org/ms/acara or by scanning a QR code.

The group thanked its members and Malaysians for their support, saying it was committed to a “positive, innovative and future-focused” campaign for Johor.

Bersama said the initiative aims to mobilise grassroots participation in what it hopes will be a forward-looking campaign in the Johor polls.

The statement was issued in Puchong and signed off on behalf of Bersama by Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
