Motorcyclist killed after being flung into gate pillar in Sitiawan crash with car, driver’s whereabouts unknown
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 — A man in his 50s was killed after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car at Taman Nesa, Sungai Wangi, Sitiawan near Lumut, Perak, yesterday.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department acting assistant operations director Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah said they received a call about the incident at 7.34pm, according to Kosmo! Online.
He said the victim had been riding a Honda EX5 motorcycle, while the car involved was a Honda Civic.
“Upon arrival of the Sitiawan Fire and Rescue team at the scene, they found the motorcyclist, believed to be in his 50s, had been flung off and struck a gate pillar.
“The driver of the car was not at the scene when firefighters arrived. The victim was confirmed dead and handed over to the police for further action,” he said.
