Wan Azizah’s father dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s father, Datuk Wan Ismail Wan Mahmood, passed away early today at his residence in Ampang.

According to Wan Azizah’s Facebook posting, his remains will be taken to Masjid al Mustaqim at Taman Nirwana, Ampang at about 9am for the funeral prayers and then to the Ukay Perdana Muslim Cemetery for the burial.

“With a heavy heart, we would like to inform that the father of Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has passed away this morning.

“May Allah S.W.T bless the dearly departed’s soul and place him among the righteous,” reads the post.
