Verdict over Adib’s death on 27 Sept

SHAH ALAM: The mystery into the death on whether firefighter Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim’s death on would revealed on 27 Sept, ruled coroner Rofiah Mohamad at Shah Alam Sessions Court this afternoon.

Is his death caused by an assault or by accident – that is the biggest question that would be addressed after a five month period inquest since 11 Feb which saw the statements of 30 witnesses.

Adib, 24, died on 17 Dec last year after succumbing to his injuries sustained during a riot outside the Seafield Maha Mariamman temple a month earlier.

Experts disagreed on whether the injuries were due to an assault or accident caused by an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle.
