KUALA LUMPUR: United States President Donald Trump said today that he and his wife, Melania Trump, have tested positive for COVID-19.

In his tweet, Trump said he and the First Lady will begin their quarantine.

“Tonight,@FLOTUS[1] (Melania Trump) and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!,” he tweeted.

Earlier, Trump, in a Tweet, confirmed that White House counselor Hope Hicks had tested positive for COVID-19, Xinhua reported.

Hicks, 31, traveled with Trump multiple times this week, including aboard Marine One, the presidential helicopter, for a rally in Minnesota on Wednesday, and aboard Air Force One to Tuesday night’s first 2020 presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio.
