PUCHONG: The Primary Industries Ministry has terminated the services of Muhammad Haziq Abdul Aziz effective June 18.
In a statement, the ministry said it was not satisfied with Haziq’s response to the show-cause letter issued last week.
“The ministry wishes to categorically assert that it will not tolerate any such scandalous behaviour amongst its staff members which bring the ministry to disrepute and odium.
‘With this, the ministry completely disassociates itself with Mr Haziq Abdullah,” the statement reads.
Last week, Haziq admitted to be the man featured in a series of sex videos disseminated by unknown persons. He also alleged that he was having sex with Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali in the video.
Azmin had denied the allegations and had lodged police report on the matter.
Haziq, who was serving as the principal private secretary to Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin, was suspended from his job and was slapped with a show-cause letter.[1]
He responded to the letter saying he was depressed after the sex video went viral.
