SBOTOP enters partnership with Leeds United, recent Premier League club after 16-year absence
TAIPEI, Sept. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — SBOTOP, a global sporting brand, has recently entered into a multi-year partnership with Leeds United, the newly promoted Premier League Club, becoming the principal sponsor of the club. The deal will see the SBOTOP logo feature on the front of Leeds United famous Adidas white shirt from the start of the 2020/21 season. The sponsorship also represents the largest commercial deal in the club’s history. SBOTOP is part of the Celton Manx Group which holds a license from the Isle of Man to operate.
Leeds United has been recently promoted as champions ending their 16-year exile. The win against Barnsley in July was Leeds’ 26th in the division this season, with the 1-0 win, ultimately securing the club’s package back to the top-flight. Their 2-1 defeat at the John Smith’s Stadium, means the West Bromwich Albion can no longer catch and thus automatic promotion is secured.
Last season ended in heartbreak for Leeds United. Despite spending most of the season in the top two, they failed to make automatic promotion. They then crashed out of the play-offs to Derby County despite being favorites to progress. However, Marcelo Bielsa signed on for another year, and they bounced back to go one better in 2019/20; he have had a fantastic campaign on the pitch, setting a new club record points tally of 87, with two games still left to play.
Leeds United executive director Paul Bell also expressed, “Today’s announcement with SBOTOP represents a landmark day for Leeds United’s commercial strategy as we attract new global brands to our official partners program”. The SBOTOP logo will feature on the front of Leeds United new kit, as well as appearing as a sponsor on the club’s official training wear.
