KUALA LUMPUR: Local chef Siti Safura Mohd Tawil won a gold medal for her Nasi Lemak Bunga Telang in the Asia-India category of the 2020 Chef Ireland Culinary Competition yesterday.
In the competition held in Dublin, Ireland, organised by a panel of Irish chefs, Safura presented a well-loved dish of Malaysians, nasi lemak.
Safura’s Nasi Lemak Bunga Telang was made up of blue coloured rice, rendang ayam, kerabu and crunchy keropok lekor.
In her Instagram posting, she also thanked those who had supported her throughout the competition.
“Thank you Malaysian Ambassador Zakaria Nasir and wife, Junainah for your endless support. Also thanks to Chef Boy, Chef Fauzan, Dr. Esa and Razman for your advice and insights. It is very much appreciated! ” she said.
