PUCHONG: Health Ministry today advised people traveling to Sabah to ensure they have completed their immunisation against polio after a case of polio infection was confirmed in the state.
In a Facebook post, the ministry also advised the public to adopt and maintain a healthy lifestyle and maintain a clean surrounding.
“The risk of the virus spreading will be higher and easier if self hygiene and the surrounding are not maintained and taken care of,” it said.

The ministry said the risk of polio infection will be higher if a traveller comes from countries that are still not free from the disease.
The ministry recently confirmed a three months baby boy in Tuaran, Sabah have been infected by polio.
It also said no new cases have been detected so far after the case was detected.
