PKR to issue warning letters to Farhash, Amirudin

PETALING JAYA: PKR disciplinary board will issue warning letters to Perak PKR chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak and Selangor mentri besar Amirudin Shari and demand explanation over their controversial statements regarding the viral sex video case.

In a statement, PKR disciplinary board said it had received complaints regarding the conduct of several party members who allegedly issued statements attacking certain party leaders.

“Acting on the advice of the political bureau, we will send letters to Farhash, Amirudin and several others.

“We will remind and advise them to guard their behaviour as a leader and prioritise unity of the party,” the statement reads.

The board said Farhash and Amirudin would also be asked to explain their controversial statements.

“The disciplinary board reserves the right to take action based on the party’s disciplinary procedure if we do not get a proper response from the parties involved,” the statement reads.

On Tuesday, Farhash, who is also the political secretary of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was alleged to have used insulting words against party deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali following the former’s release from police remand.

Amirudin, on the other hand, was reported to have said that the political leader accused of masterminding the sex video “was someone who had been through a similar ordeal and fought through a dark period of history.”
