KUALA LUMPUR: PKR secretary general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution today hit out at vice president Zuraida Kamaruddin for saying that she was prepared to be sacked from the party as bad blood continues in PKR.

Speaking to the media, Saifuddin claimed that Zuraida’ and her supporters’ statements meant that they were ‘feeling guilty’ for causing disunity in the party.

“Those who are aware that they have gone against the party’s displinary (board), they are the ones who will talk about being sacked,” he said, after launching an economic report by the World Bank Group Global Knowledge and Research Hub.

During the last weekend, supporters of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy, Mohamed Azmin Ali had a fist fight during its National Congress held in Malacca.

Azmin said that Anwar had broken truce between them by alluding to ‘traitors and schemers’ during the latter’s speech during the meet.

During a dinner event last night, Zuraida alleged that Anwar had tried to convince her that Azmin was the one featured in the gay sex video that went viral months ago.

Zuraida was one of the senior leaders who had boycotted PKR meetings ever since the Anwar-Azmin spat went public.

When asked on gay sex video, Saifuddin said he would leave the matter to the police.

Saifuddin also said that he would not entertain Zuraida’s attacks against him, saying the minister should just attend the party meetings if she had something to say.

“Whatever issues to be discussed, it should be discussed at the meeting,” he said.
