KUALA LUMPUR: Saturday’s Super League clash between Selangor and Perak will be the last time that the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil will be used for any M-League matches this season.

Malaysian Football League (MFL) chief executive officer Datuk Ab Ghani Hassan said this was to maintain the stadium’s prestige as the official venue for the national team.

He said in a statement today that the only M-League matches that will be held at the venue after this would be the Malaysia Cup and FA Cup finals as the stadium can accommodate more than 80,000 supporters.

Meanwhile, MFL have approved PJ City FC’s request to use the UiTM Stadium in Shah Alam as their alternative venue for tomorrow’s Super League match against Pahang after failing to get approval to use the MBPJ Stadium.
