Kuala Lumpur, 11 August 2026 — MyAngkasa Capital Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed to raise up to US$1 billion to finance the development of a 65 MW next-generation Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Centre at Cyber Valley, Selangor.

The mandate was awarded on 31 July 2026 by SIC Quantum Data Centre Sdn. Bhd., with the project strategically supported by the Selangor Investment Corporation (SIC), a state government-linked investment entity.

The fundraising exercise will comprise a combination of equity, debt and hybrid financing instruments to support the development, infrastructure and long-term operations of the data centre.

The 65 MW AI Data Centre @ Cyber Valley is being designed as a quantum-ready data centre, with capabilities to support AI research, cybersecurity, government cloud services and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads.

“Quantum-ready infrastructure will be a key pillar of Selangor’s digital economy. With MyAngkasa Capital leading the capital-raising exercise, we aim to position this data centre as a regional hub for advanced computing and emerging technologies,” said Dato’ Krishna Singh Kapkoti, Executive Chairman of MyAngkasa Capital Sdn. Bhd.

MyAngkasa Capital will structure the proposed US$1 billion capital raise through strategic equity partnerships, conventional and Islamic financing, as well as hybrid capital solutions. This approach is intended to provide greater flexibility in meeting the project’s financing requirements and attracting both domestic and international investors.

Investor engagement is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2026, with the first financial close targeted for early 2027.

The development of the data centre is also expected to generate high-value employment opportunities, contribute additional revenue to the government and attract global technology, artificial intelligence and research and development companies to Selangor and Malaysia.

The project is positioned to contribute towards Malaysia’s growing digital infrastructure ecosystem while strengthening Selangor’s role as a strategic destination for advanced computing, AI and technology investment.
