KUALA LUMPUR: The government is always studying, reviewing and updating the list of serious offences under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (AMLATFA) 2001 based on current needs.
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng told the Dewan Rakyat today that the list was also reviewed based on the trend of criminal activities occurring.
“The government is committed to ensuring that the provisions under AMLATFA are in line with the international standards and meet the needs of the enforcement agencies at all times,” he said.
