Lashana Lynch who was touted to be the new black female MI6 agent in the upcoming Bond movie, Bond 25 would not be James Bond after all.
Internet went abuzz with reports that Lynch would be the 007 agent for MI6 yesterday.[1]
The latest Bond venture was fraught since Danny Boyle originally stepped down from directing the movie before the production began after alleged fights involving the producers.
Boyle was subsequently replaced by Cary Fukunaga the first American director to helm the movie franchise. It was a sore issue as many believed that the franchise should remain British.
It was not an issue when Martin Campbell, a New Zealander directed Casino Royale with Daniel Craig as Agent 007.
Craig during the shooting of Bond 25 also was injured, causing talks that the movie was cursed.
The latest report indicated that there is a scene where M calls for Agent 007 and Lynch walks in.
This means Craig would remain being Bond and Lynch would be Agent 007, reported Screen Rant.
The English female lead is best remembered for her role as Maria Rambeau, the best friend of Carol Danver in Captain Marvel.
Other new faces in the latest Bond movie include Rami Malek, Billy Magnussen and Ana de Armas whereas returning favorites are Craig, Ben Whishaw, Ralph Fiennes,Rory Kinnear and Léa Seydoux.
The question on who is going to be the next Bond still looms as Craig confirmed that this would be his last portrayal the legendary fictitious British spy.
