ALOR SETAR, March 8 — Kedah head coach, Aidil Sharin Sahak wants his charges to focus on the next match against UiTM FC on March 11 in the mission to collect their first three points in the Super League this season.
He said despite two consecutive losses including to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) last week, he is optimistic the Red Eagles would bounce back from the shaky start, to redeem the disappointment of their supporters.
“I am not blaming any players as they played as a team, scored three goals and created numerous chances…but in football, anything can happen.
“We will focus on delivering points after this because a victory would restore the confidence of the my boys as the league competition is still a long way to go,” he said.
Aidil said after the match which saw Kedah lost 3-4 to Terengganu FC at Darul Aman Stadium last night.
The second defeat for Kedah resulted in the Red Eagles being placed ninth in the league standings.
Meanwhile, Terengganu FC head coach, Mohd Nafuzi Mahammad Zain said the win over Kedah was a moral booster for his charges after losing to Perak on home ground in their league opening match.
“After the loss to Perak, the players knew what to do, so they rose to the occasion as we planned. Despite trailing initially, we managed to come back and beat our opponents,” he said.
Mohd Nafuzi wants his players to give their full focus on their next encounter against Selangor and would further tighten their defence after giving away three goals to Kedah.
